This role focuses on assisting students with homework, studying for tests, and fostering their growth as independent learners. Youll play a vital role in helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and thrive academically.
- Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for students in the Bear POWER program.
- Assist with homework, test preparation, and understanding course materials across multiple subjects.
- Encourage and build student self-esteem while showing respect to all students regardless of their knowledge level or coursework.
- Promote active learning by guiding students to develop their own understanding of concepts, rather than providing answers.
- Collaborate with other tutors, supervisors, and resources to address challenging questions or topics.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment while working independently or with minimal supervision.
- Uphold the programs philosophy of empowering students through encouragement and skill-building.
