What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor NT (Mathematics) 9 month appointment position at Missouri State University?
Description of Primary Duties
Teach General Education mathematics courses MTH Contemporary Math, MTH Algebraic Reasoning & Modeling, MTH Precalculus I, prerequisite courses in intermediate algebra, co-requisite courses, other courses as needed, and perform limited service.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required.
Additional Qualifications
Required qualifications : Masters degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (the latter with at least 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics course work), completed by August 11, . Documented experience teaching mathematics courses at the university level including experience working with various learning styles and educational backgrounds, as well as have experience with classroom technology.
