Description of Primary Duties
Per course faculty teach by way of one of the following : 1) face-to-face on the Springfield campus, 2) face-to-face on a campus other than Springfield, 3) online, or 4) in a blended format that may include ITV or online teaching. Per course faculty are responsible for fulfilling all teaching expectations and must collect and provide data from courses to support program reviews. Per course faculty must communicate with students, faculty and administration associated with the course and program. Per course faculty represent MSU and its programs with professionalism and academic integrity. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Per Course Faculty should possess a masters degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. Additional Qualifications For per course faculty in Child Life Education, per course faculty must have a minimum of three years experience working in a child life program in health care facility, and they must hold current certification as a Child Life Specialist or hold certification by the appointment date.
For per course faculty in Elementary education and Early Childhood Education, a minimum of three years teaching experience and certification are preferred.
