Description of Primary Duties
The primary duty of the Student Designer is to create visually appealing designs to satisfy requirements of different Residence Life projects. These designs should adhere to Missouri State branding standards and generate publicity for the department. The Student Designer will also be responsible for collaborating with team members in a creative environment for larger undertakings. The Student Designer will produce a wide range of printed materials, both large and small format, as well as digital pieces for social media, web content and marketing purposes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with computer design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, is required
- Must have working knowledge of good design and typography principles and practices
- Good communication and ability to work on a team is required
- Previous professional design experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with photography, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro is preferred
- Must meet Student Employee Handbook requirements
- Must have availability between 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Monday-Friday
