Description of Primary Duties
Position Overview:
The Student Activities Council/Traditions Council Graphic Designer is responsible for working with office staff and council members to produce advertising campaigns for events and promotions sponsored by the Student Activities Council and Traditions Council through creativity of printed materials and ad layout.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Creates printed and electronic material for the Student Activities Council and Traditions Council by utilizing available desktop publishing software and becoming proficient in new software programs and versions.
- Produces effective publications, from concept to delivery, by participating in project interviews, developing concepts and designs, communicating with clients, and producing proofs.
- Operates within deadlines established for various projects by following an established production schedule, preparing specifications for print vendors, verifying that the assigned project is completed and ready to deliver, and archiving the work electronically and in hard copy.

Required Qualifications
Qualifications (Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Team members are student employees and must meet all University requirements to work on campus.
- Minimum GPA: 2.0
- Minimum enrolled credit hours for U.S. & International students.
- Ability to follow directions and manage time.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of graphic design concepts
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Must demonstrate talent as a designer, including the ability to combine function and visual appearance to achieve successful communication
- Must include three examples of print or social media marketing materials created by the applicant
