Job Summary
Early College Academy (ECA) is seeking to fill the Social Media Assistant role. In this job, you will assist the ECA team in brainstorming, creating, and monitoring of social media content. Additionally, the Social Media Assistant will have the ability to assist with key campaigns and promotional opportunities to engage key partners including students, faculty, staff, and cooperating school districts.
Essential Duties
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance of social media platforms
- Aid in the development of digital strategies, campaigns, and content with supervision and support as desired
- Review and track analytics and data
- Collaborate and brainstorm with key stakeholders on promotional projects
- Research best practices and emerging social media trends
- Participate in various events and tabling opportunities (recruiting booth for prospective students) as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

- Degree Seeking
- Maintain at least a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Enrolled at least part-time
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- The desired student should have knowledge and experience in marketing, professional communications, graphic design and/or similar fields.
- Strong understanding of social media tools and platforms OR ability to learn tools and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, and other relevant platforms).
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Organized with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects as need with supervision and support
- Understanding of basic principles of marketing and communications
- Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects within relative timelines
- Knowledge and experience with OR ability to learn social media analytics and tracking
Physical Demands
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
