What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer position at Mister B Snacks, LLC?
The Packer will pack and box a variety of food products and materials by hand. This position works Monday-Thursday 2:30 pm- 1:00 am (Night Shift).
Key responsibilities:
- Counts, measures, and weighs materials and products.
- Removes defective products or materials, placing them in specified areas for handling.
- Constructs containers and boxes using hand tools.
- Examines containers, products, and materials for quality control and ensures packing requirements are met.
- Seals boxes and containers or materials using hand tools and tape.
- Marks and labels containers, container tags, labels, or products.
- Enters packing, order, and product information in or on required forms, records, or other documents.
- Stacks boxes on pallets.
- Loads products and materials into package-processing equipment.
- Keeps the packing area clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as assigned including helping other members on the team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to assess products for quality compliance.
- Good time management skills.
- Basic understanding of principles and processes of customer service.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working in both manufacturing and warehouse environments is preferred.
- Basic math and recording abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in both verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
- Frequent bending and lifting required (25 pounds).
- Must be able to navigate the plant and reach items both high and low.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
