What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer, Construction position at Mister Car Wash?
The Project Engineer collaborates with Project Managers to provide support for all major aspects of project execution, budget management, design and bidding document review, material/equipment sourcing, project scheduling, and progress tracking. This individual has a service mindset and eye for detail and thrives in a deadline-driven environment that requires multitasking.
What you will do:
Collaborate with Project Managers and the Estimating Team to create and review construction bid comparisons and contracts
Prepare and forecast internal budgets
Review and populate development partner budgets
Track expenses, code invoices, and manage project budgets
Prepare FF&E equipment lists, issue purchase orders, and track shipments to ensure delivery
Engage third-party consultants and development partners with RFPs and other requests
Assist the Design Team with permitting and communicating with local municipalities
Collaborate with the Project Team to prepare and distribute progress reports that capture critical project details
Prepare meeting agendas and PowerPoint presentations
Host weekly meetings with vendor partners and internal stakeholder teams
Assist with project close-outs and preparation of executive summary reports
Coordinate meetings, allocate resources, take notes, and share information as needed
Assist with vetting general contractors and managing the vendor list
How you will shine:
Minimum two years of experience in project coordination/engineering
Experience interacting with multiple corporate stakeholders
Excellent writing skills with a high level of attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deliverables, and competing timelines
Hardworking and acts with a sense of urgency to accomplish key objectives
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel as needed
Car wash experience a plus
