What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sourcing Manager position at Mister Car Wash?
We’re currently seeking a Sourcing Manager to join our Headquarters team!
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned product and service categories based on best practices and a unified corporate approach, aligning with business owners to ensure successful implementation and achieving measurable value including cost savings. Partner with the business owner(s) to drive a sourcing strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives, while optimizing quality, service, and cost. Develop supplier relationships by routinely engaging with suppliers' key business leaders and communicating Mister’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), initiatives, and other business requirements. Expected to demonstrate strategic thinking, effective supplier management, and strong cross-functional collaboration to develop sourcing strategies that drive alignment with organizational goals.
What You Will Do:
Partner with the business to define and execute sourcing and supplier strategy that will optimize supplier's quality, service, and cost; support, design and develop of supplier strategy
Establish proper sourcing concepts and ensure optimal procurement best practices and outcomes by partnering with the department head and business owner
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key supplier leadership
Communicate company initiatives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business requirements to suppliers
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to achieve measurable savings
Develop a cost savings roadmap for assigned product and service categories
Create, update, and negotiate supplier agreements to ensure advantaged terms
Partner with legal and business to ensure compliance with legal and business terms and conditions
Act as a strategic business partner to business owners, deeply understanding their needs and objectives to collaboratively drive value and achieve shared goals
Prepare and deliver detailed presentations on strategies and updates to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, ensuring clarity, alignment with organizational goals
Provide actionable insights to support informed decision-making
Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
How You Will Shine:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or Engineering or equivalent experience
3 years of experience supervising or managing teams
7 years in Sourcing; 3 years of project management
Ability to work in-office five days a week and travel up to 25% domestically
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
Executive presence and ability to collaborate effectively across functions
Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) and PowerPoint (creating executive presentations)
Experience in sourcing with a focus on indirect sourcing, IT hardware, SaaS, and construction categories
Relevant working experience in similar decentralized, multi-unit companies
