The Advanced Concepts & Technologies Group is looking for candidates who are excited to work on challenging problems in national security and join our diverse team. The group develops technology to protect our deployed sailors, soldiers, and assets against advanced threats, while enabling operations in complex maritime environments. The group's research and development activities include concepts design, advanced algorithms development, software and hardware prototyping, experimental field-testing, and data analysis. Our team focuses on creating new capabilities through rapid prototyping of software and hardware. Of particular interest to the group is the development of advanced electronic warfare systems prototypes, advanced sensors prototypes, novel signal processing algorithms, optimization for resource allocation, and artificial intelligence to enable the development of next generation systems for fleet and surface assets defense.

The Advanced Concepts and Technologies Group is seeking a candidate to conduct research in maritime electro-optical / infrared (EO/IR) imaging and help develop capability for next-generation systems for the DoD. The work will include experimental lab and field testing of custom EO/IR imaging systems as part of a dedicated team. Research areas and roles will also include data analysis, algorithm development and signal/image processing to detect targets of interest.
The candidate should have familiarity with optical systems technologies and a willingness to learn and contribute to new imaging system prototype development in the areas of hardware design, system operation and aspects of software development.
The candidate should have the ability to work well in teams, exhibit independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, communicate results clearly and effectively and show initiative and creativity in proposing new concepts and ideas.
The candidate should have experience in conducting optical measurements and conducting image data analysis using software tools such as Matlab, Python or C .
Education: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field.
