What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Mitch Cox Construct?
The Maintenance Technician position is a full-time employment opportunity within the Commercial Property Management division of Mitch Cox Companies known as Cox Property Management.
Position Purpose:
This position requires but is not limited to the following objectives: maintenance of commercial facilities; interface with clientele, tenants, and contractors; and be able to troubleshoot problems and complete work orders under tight deadlines without compromising quality of work.
Responsibilities:
· Perform general routine maintenance on commercial buildings.
· Process and complete work orders.
· Perform electrical lighting maintenance, including bulb and ballast replacement on wall pack and fluorescent tube lighting.
· Troubleshoot and repair water heaters, sink fixtures, and toilets.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose minor HVAC problems.
· Patch, repair, and paint drywall.
· Maintain interior and exterior doors and door hardware.
· Conduct roof inspections and maintenance.
· Install and remove real estate signage.
· Complete general labor tasks and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to troubleshoot and work under tight deadlines
· Experience with hand tools and power tool equipment
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
· Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
· Ability to climb ladders
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of life safety and fire suppression systems
· Knowledge of commercial plumbing fixtures and valves
· Knowledge of basic electrical skills.

Compensation
The approximate pay scale for this position is between $19 - $23 per hour, based upon experience and qualifications.
