Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of medical conditions.
- Administer injections and perform venipuncture as required for patient treatment.
- Monitor vital signs and provide appropriate interventions based on findings.
- Assist with heavy lifting of patients during transport or when necessary.
- Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining a calm demeanor in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in emergency rooms (ER) and other medical settings to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in critical care transport operations, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during transit.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments administered, and any changes in condition accurately.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in patient assessment techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with administering injections and performing venipuncture procedures.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting associated with patient transport safely.
- Proficient in monitoring vital signs and responding appropriately to changes.
- Experience working in urgent care or emergency room settings is highly desirable.
- Previous involvement in critical care transport operations is a plus.
