Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

About The Job
This position is reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services. Primary duties are staffing a second crew call position and driving inter-facility transfers. The position functions to support the policies and procedures of the Ambulance Dept. and the Mitchell Co. Regional Health Center. This position maintains the highest possible standards to provide the highest level of care and treatment to persons using the ambulance service.

Position Qualifications
Education Current BLS Certificate
- Experience Previous healthcare or Ambulance experience preferred
- Special Skills & Aptitudes Must be 21 years of age.
- Current state Driver's License in good standing and insurable
- Satisfactory driving record in accordance with the MCEMS Driving Policy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.
- Ensure that all required Certifications are current and remain current.
- Attend all MCEMS required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory Company updates.
- Complete the training in the allotted time the Company sets.
- Maintain knowledge about job and medical field.
