One of our client is seeking for an Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Hours: 8 AM-3:15 PM
JOB SUMMARY:
• The Behavior Analyst provides continuous support to the overall educational environment by utilizing effective behavioral strategies to address student behaviors.
• Provide ongoing behavior intervention strategies for all students in all aspects of the educational environment (assisting within the classrooms, hallways, gymnasium, and extracurricular activities, including student arrival and dismissal).
• The Behavior Analyst will also work directly with administrators to provide outlets and avenues for students to communicate with staff in the building, to empower students and develop skills in leadership and building healthy relationship
Responsibilities:
• Fulfill annual continuing education and professional development requirements established by the Department of Education.
• Attend staff meetings and meetings with parents and/or school district personnel.
• Actively participate in ongoing quality improvement activities of The Client including but not limited to: serving as a member of a quality improvement team, customer input, incident/accident and client grievance review, peer record review and program evaluation/quality improvement projects.
• Provide direct management and supervision of students in non-instructional settings such as hallways, library, dining room, etc.
• Design and oversee implementation of situational appropriate crisis prevention and intervention plans as well as constructive classroom management techniques.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of behavior management plans.
• Develop a school-wide system for behavior consultations.
• Develop data collection forms and methodologies for the district.
• Develop an Applied Behavior analysis manual for staff.
• Assist and participate with Child Study Team, teachers and parents in the development of individual needs interests, and abilities of each student.
• Develop, implement, and train staff on behavior modification plans.
• Educate staff on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Advise staff on curriculum development in the areas of self-help, language, social skills, preacademic and academic skills, prevocational and vocational skills and motor skills.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master's Degree with a major in Psychology or related field.
• Successful experience with Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) professional certificate.
• Experience working with teachers, students and parents.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.
• Demonstrated ability to assess children's behavioral needs and competence in the design of appropriate instructional strategies and educational programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Required to participate in CPR and First Aid training and required to perform techniques as needed.
• Required criminal history check or resident alien status.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must maintain yearly 12 hour requirements in behavior management, suicide prevention, substance abuse, and HIV and sexuality
• Must have CARI-CHRI, physical and PPD test completed prior to or upon hire.
• Must have physical repeated every three years.
• Must attend cultural competence trainings when available and attend ongoing trainings related to population served.
Salary : $45 - $47
