Our client is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a private school, licensed and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, for students aged 3 to 22 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, neurological impairment, vision and hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, and medically fragile conditions.
Licensed PA New Grads welcome! Will consider Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)!
Type : Contract – Long-Term Contract
Schedule : Full-time - Mon-Fri, 8a-3p, no weekends!
Pay : $65 / hr
Location : Media, PA
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech and language therapy services to students as indicated in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
This includes conducting evaluations, assessments, analyzing data, writing reports, and determining the strengths and areas of concern or need in speech, communication, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language and oral motor skills that will help students to participate in their education process to their maximum capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Speech Instruction or Speech Communication
- Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certification (CCC)
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered
- Experience working with both verbal and nonverbal students (ages 3-21 years) in Autism
- Support, Emotional Support and Life Skills Support programs
- Knowledge of principles, techniques, and equipment, including low to high technology AAC devices, used in individual and group treatment of a wide variety of speech / language disorders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current diagnostic and assessment tools available for use with students with speech / language impairments.
- Maintains professional competence through in-service education and other professional growth activities
- Non-profit human service experience highly preferred
