Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial IT Specialist to oversee the planning and execution of actuarial technology initiatives.
- This role involves managing IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions that align with business objectives.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in technology project management and business systems analysis, particularly in financial or insurance-related environments.
- Oversee end-to-end project planning, including requirement development, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Utilize project management tools to track work across IT teams and generate status reports for leadership.
- Document and organize workstream activities using operational processes and software tools.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious project execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
- Monitor project tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
- Assess and mitigate project risks while ensuring alignment with IT architecture and system dependencies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT project management and business systems analysis.
- Experience managing complex actuarial systems.
- Background in financial services or insurance industries preferred.
- Ability to analyze and improve business processes, systems, and associated technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with agile and waterfall software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira.
- Innovative mindset with a commitment to enterprise technology development.
- Strong team collaboration skills and ability to drive technology solutions.
- Experience with actuarial modeling software or similar analytical tools.
- Familiarity with financial services technology ecosystems.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
