Title: Field Operations Specialist
Location: Southwestern Region
Description
The Field Operations Specialist will be responsible for the overall IT success of a group of outpatient radiology imaging centers and associated administrative offices. This role focuses on providing IT support, troubleshooting, and implementing hardware and software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong operational and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
Assess and deliver functional IT needs for hardware and software standards in collaboration with leadership.
Monitor and resolve issues, service tickets, and projects within assigned areas.
Document issues and troubleshooting steps using the support desk tracking system.
Conduct site visits to address active issues and identify potential system improvements.
Install, relocate, configure, and troubleshoot phones, desktops, peripherals, and software.
Interact with various IT teams, including Clinical Applications and Infrastructure, to resolve user issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported systems through ongoing education and documentation review.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices for LAN/WAN and system security.
Manage IS inventory stock, including tracking, ordering, and deployment of equipment.
Provide preventative maintenance, cable management, and workspace organization for IT equipment.
Collaborate with external vendors to escalate and resolve network and telecom issues.
Configure, monitor, and support internal and external networks.
Image desktops and laptops, build computers, and replace hardware as needed.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related technical field, or 5 years of IT support experience.
Strong knowledge of PC, printer, file servers, and network operations.
Familiarity with network cabling, switches, routers, firewalls, and TCP/IP protocols.
Expertise in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office products.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex IT issues.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage with non-technical users effectively.
Flexibility to travel between sites as needed.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of encryption software and other PC-based applications.
Familiarity with IT compliance and safety standards such as HIPAA and OSHA.
