Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Northeastern United States (Onsite)
Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with expertise in managing, designing, implementing, and deploying advanced network solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of network engineering principles, including dynamic routing, firewall management, and observability platform configuration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to optimize and automate network processes.
Responsibilities
Manage, design, and implement network solutions, including dynamic routing configurations and troubleshooting.
Analyze packet-level data for troubleshooting and network design optimization.
Design and manage NAT rules and firewall policies.
Review firewall logs and flows using observability platforms, and create dashboards for performance monitoring.
Work with cloud networking capabilities, including AWS or GCP; experience with Azure is optional.
Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CDK/CFT, or Python for automation.
Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline implementations.
Apply knowledge of network concepts, including routing, NATs, subnetting, and IPv4/IPv6 protocols.
Automate solutions using APIs and scripting.
Ensure application observability and monitor network performance effectively.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration and security policy management.
Proficiency in dynamic routing, NAT rules, and subnetting.
Expertise in cloud networking with AWS or GCP.
Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
Strong analytical skills for packet-level troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
Desired Skills
Experience with Python or shell scripting for network automation.
Observability platform configuration and dashboard creation.
Familiarity with APIs for automation using XML or REST protocols.
