Description:
The Production Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability, resilience, and performance of critical applications that support Middle Office, Operations, and Treasury teams. This role involves end-to-end production environment ownership, working closely with development teams to implement new features, manage incidents, and improve system performance. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in scripting and database management, and a proactive approach to DevOps culture.
Responsibilities:
Production Support & System Ownership:
Manage and maintain critical production environments, ensuring high availability.
Oversee infrastructure management, release planning, incident resolution, and capacity planning.
Conduct BCP (Business Continuity Planning) testing to ensure system resilience.
Collaboration & Cross-Team Support:
Build and maintain strong relationships with development and business teams.
Foster a DevOps culture, ensuring smooth collaboration between operations and development.
Provide L1 support teams with proper knowledge, tools, and documentation for efficient issue resolution.
Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:
Utilize strong scripting skills (Python preferred, PowerShell, Perl, etc.) to automate tasks.
Develop SQL queries and manage database systems to optimize performance.
Support applications in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
Work with technologies such as AWS, CI/CD, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience in enterprise production support.
Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong Python scripting and database query skills.
Experience working in business-facing application support.
Ability to analyze complex issues, problem-solve efficiently, and optimize system performance.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with message queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS).
Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Compensation:
Pay range: $175k-$200k per year
