The Senior SQL Developer will be responsible for analyzing and visualizing medical data to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and drive business improvements. This role requires expertise in managing SQL queries, developing impactful reports, optimizing data processes, and leading data initiatives from inception through delivery. In addition to technical leadership, the position involves mentoring junior team members and designing procedures that enhance operational efficiency. Strong collaboration skills and a strategic mindset are essential for aligning data practices with organizational growth.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field
Minimum of six years' expert experience with SQL or similar database languages
Experience with large-scale data environments (“Big Data” technologies)
Minimum of three years' experience working with healthcare claims data
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or similar
Understanding of high-level programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
Strong creative problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Demonstrated success collaborating in a high-performing, team-oriented environment
Desired Skills
Experience leading data-driven projects and initiatives
Ability to design and optimize processes and procedures related to data management
Strong mentoring skills and ability to guide technical growth of junior analysts
