Description
- We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- This role involves providing support to application teams, implementing database updates, and proactively identifying system improvements.
- Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems.
- Develop, implement, and deploy database patches and updates.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in database-related tasks, with attention to detail and urgency.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, making proactive recommendations for enhancements.
- Prepare and present database performance reports and statistical data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain production uptime service levels, including backup, recovery, and security measures.
- Implement and enforce data integrity, access controls, and data cleansing strategies.
- Manage storage, rollback segments, and database objects to maintain optimal functionality.
- Create, deploy, and maintain database schemas.
- Configure and manage auditing features to ensure compliance.
- Perform disaster recovery planning, setup, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including log full and system crashes.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages.
- Conduct query performance analysis and optimization.
- 5-7 years of experience in database administration.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, management, and optimization.
- Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of database security best practices, access control, and data integrity measures.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as shell scripting and configuration management frameworks.
- Experience with database auditing and compliance processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in financial or banking industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud and on-premise database management.
- Understanding of database schema design and deployment strategies.
- Exposure to enterprise business applications and database integration with other systems.
