Title: UX Designer
Location: Northeastern Region (Hybrid: Onsite 2-3 Days per Week)
Description
The UX Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design intuitive, engaging, and efficient user experiences. This role focuses on creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with user needs and business goals. The designer will advocate for the user, apply modern design principles, and contribute to Agile workflows to deliver high-quality solutions in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
Interaction Design: Develop interactive design solutions to enhance user satisfaction and streamline user journeys.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using Figma, ensuring alignment with user and business requirements.
Visual Design: Design cohesive user interfaces that adhere to design systems and brand guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to implement effective design solutions.
Agile Participation: Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives, adapting designs as priorities evolve.
User Research: Apply research best practices to validate user needs, behaviors, and feedback to refine designs.
Design Systems: Maintain and evolve Figma-based design systems, style guides, and development documentation.
Presentation: Deliver clear, impactful presentations to team members, stakeholders, and executives to communicate design concepts and rationale.
Development Collaboration: Work with development and QA teams throughout the design lifecycle to ensure accurate implementation and timely delivery.
Project Management: Track design progress using tools like DevOps or Kanban boards to minimize rework and delays.
User Advocacy: Advocate for user-centered designs and represent the “voice of the user” across project discussions and teams.
Required Skills
5 years of experience as a UX Designer in a collaborative, Agile environment.
2 years of experience designing within the financial services industry.
Expertise in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts to team members and stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience.
Portfolio demonstrating a range of UX design projects, including prototypes, wireframes, and final designs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver creative, user-centered solutions.
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Proven ability to collaborate in team environments and adapt to changing priorities.
Desired Skills
Experience managing and maintaining Figma-based design systems.
Familiarity with project tracking tools like DevOps or Kanban boards.
Ability to balance user needs with business goals while pushing back on poor design directions
