Title : Senior Network Security Engineer
Location : 5 days Onsite within the Southeastern Region
Description :
The Senior Network Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain advanced network security solutions to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of global network infrastructure. This role focuses on architectural design, strategic planning, and operational excellence in network security while addressing potential threats proactively and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and other security tools.
Create and maintain high- and low-level design plans for network security architecture.
Establish and enforce network security policies, procedures, and training plans.
Provide architectural consulting and mentorship to network engineers and administrators.
Research and recommend security products, services, protocols, and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless security integration.
Maintain documentation for network security configurations, processes, and services.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network products and services.
Review and enhance existing network security designs and technology portfolios.
Oversee lifecycle management, licensing governance, and enterprise agreements.
Provide technical support and mentorship to IT staff and network engineers.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security, with a focus on enterprise environments.
Experience managing and delivering strategic network architectural designs.
Strong knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Expertise with Cisco security products (e.g., Firepower, Meraki, ISE, Umbrella, XDR).
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNP Security.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans and achieve organizational goals.
Key Skills :
Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently across time zones.
Willingness to provide on-call support and address Level 1 escalations.
Travel Requirements :
Domestic and international travel (10-25%).
