Title : Lead Business Data Analyst / Data Modeler

Description :
The Lead Business Data Analyst / Data Modeler will collaborate with a team to identify data patterns, develop mapping specifications, and ensure consistency between data sources and target warehouse objects.
This role includes agile project involvement, testing, and documentation to support data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities :
Serve as a subject matter expert for source system data and its alignment with data warehouse sourcing.
Build and maintain valuable relationships with business partners.
Develop, review, and validate requirements for data constructs and solutions.
Conduct analysis to identify data inconsistencies and validate new requirements.
Extract, filter, and analyze data using automated tools to identify and resolve inconsistencies.
Use statistical tools to analyze patterns and trends in complex data sets.
Document meeting minutes, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent operations.
Participate in agile project management, including task allocation and progress tracking.
Collaborate to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources.
Report technical issues or patterns and recommend solutions to the development team.
Validate functional requirements and design specifications.
Map data attributes from source systems to target destinations, specifying transformations.
Monitor processes, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance customer value.
Required Skills :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, or data analytics.
3-5 years of experience in a business or data analyst role within the financial sector.
Expertise in investment banking data, including derivatives, cash, loans, and regulatory reporting.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills for data collection and analysis.
Proficiency in database design, dimensional modeling, and data-related programming languages (e.g., SQL).
Familiarity with statistical tools and software for data analysis.
Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Desired Skills :
Experience with specific tools and technologies for data visualization and analysis.
Proficiency in creating process documentation and UML diagrams.
Knowledge of Snowflake data warehouse environments or similar platforms.
Compensation :
Pay Range : 165k-$185k
