Role Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring all maintenance activities are documented accurately. Your role is critical in maintaining the reliability and safety of our equipment and work environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance (PM) duties on equipment according to the PM schedule.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical/electronic, and mechanical problems.
Record Keeping: Document corrective actions and repairs on PM forms. Record all repairs and maintenance activities.
Safety: Identify and address safety concerns, repairing unsafe conditions as needed. Ensure work areas are properly lit.
Additional Duties: Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other senior management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 education.
Maintenance Certificate, Millwright Certificate, or Electrical/Electronic Certificate.
3 years of experience in maintenance.
Ability to read and write in English.
Required Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance role.
Electrical Troubleshooting: Training in electrical troubleshooting.
Mechanical & Hydraulic Troubleshooting: Training in mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Machining & Welding: Some experience with machining and welding.
WHMIS Knowledge: Understanding of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
Injection Machines: Understanding of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Quality & Environmental Systems: Knowledge of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to the job function.
Forms & Documentation: Familiarity with forms, tags, and labels governing the job function.
