Key Responsibilities:
- Production Operations:
- Assign and oversee employee roles within the production cell, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Inspect the cell before team arrival, ensuring all discrepancies from the previous shift are addressed.
- Provide the necessary tools, materials, and safety equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work cell to promote safety and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all standard work instructions, and actively enforce safety protocols.
- Prepare the work cell for the next shift to ensure seamless transitions and maintain continuous productivity.
- Manage materials and inventory within the cell, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Quality Assurance:
- Perform detailed inspections (First-off, In-Process, and Final) to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Use appropriate tools to assess dimensional accuracy and evaluate parts according to prescribed standards.
- Conduct functional checks, color verification, and packaging/labeling checks to ensure quality.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation for all products and processes.
- Report non-conforming products, assist in problem-solving, and implement corrective actions.
- Support departments in data collection, quality studies, and any additional requests as needed.
- General Duties:
- Preserve and manage Quality Records according to established procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying areas for process efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Foster a positive and open communication network with supervisors, engineers, and team members.
- Monitor inventory and report low quantities to supervisors to ensure production continuity.
- Ensure effective communication and role clarity during program changes to maintain smooth transitions.
- Oversee production schedules, making necessary adjustments to meet production goals.
- Provide training and support to operators as directed by the supervisor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass color perception tests for quality control
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- High level of dexterity and motor skills
- Ability to pass color evaluation tests for appearance inspection
- Understanding of quality and environmental management systems relevant to job functions
- Knowledge of forms, tags, and labels governing production activities
