What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toolroom - Tooling Technician position at Mitchell Plastics?
Key Responsibilities:
Mold Maintenance: Work closely with Production to service and maintain all molds, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
Mold Handling: Assist with the delivery, service, and repair of molds, ensuring proper storage and machine integration.
Preventive Maintenance: Collaborate with the Tool Shop Supervisor and Repair Leader to conduct preventive maintenance and maintain documentation of services.
Shipping & Receiving: Properly stage, secure, and document molds for shipping in and out of the Tool Room.
Team Support: Provide assistance to Tool Room personnel during peak periods or when extra help is required.
Training & Housekeeping: Help train others on proper tooling maintenance and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of tools and their maintenance.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and leadership.
Knowledge of Crane and Rigging operations to handle heavy molds and equipment safely.
Familiarity with forms and procedures governing tooling and maintenance functions.
Understanding of Quality & Environmental Management Systems as they relate to tooling.
