Job Summary

Mitchell Selig Ford is seeking a skilled Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join their team. As a key member of the service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on medium/heavy duty trucks according to dealership and factory specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks.
  • Communicate effectively with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay up-to-date with technical bulletins.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate all tools and equipment safely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE certifications in brakes, diesel engines, drive train, electrical/electronic systems, gasoline engines, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, preventive maintenance inspection, and suspension and steering.
  • I-CAR certificate of advanced training in advanced vehicle systems, aluminum repair, replacement and welding, detailing, electronics for collision repair, executive seminar, finish matching, glass replacement, plastic repair, steering and suspension, understanding collision repair, and workplace hazardous materials.
