Role Description
Help us grow our team! This is a role for a paralegal with full-time or in-person work at our Richmond, VA office. The Paralegal will be responsible for supporting our attorney’s needs, including:
- Assisting with case scheduling, research, preparation for depositions, and preparation for trial.
- Organizing medical records and assisting with preparing medical chronologies.
- Preparing and sending subpoenas.
- Assisting with preparing and reviewing legal documents and maintaining electronic files.
- Assisting with management of court filings.
- Communicating with clients, experts, attorneys, and court personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Previous experience as a litigation assistant or paralegal
- Foundation with Virginia civil procedure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to accurately and efficiently review and analyze legal documents
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Experience with medical malpractice defense is a plus
