Mitchell Technical College is seeking an Welding & Manufacturing Technology instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team beginning August 1, 2025. The position is open until filled.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum three years of work experience (6,000 hours) in the field.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with HAAS controllers for operation of TL1, ST20, and VF4 machining stations.
- Experience with Fiber Laser and High-Definition plasma cutting tables.
- Previous use of SolidWorks for drafting and design.
- Metal fabrication and CNC programming experience preferred
- Passion for training with a high level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively, master change, work in groups, and have strong customer orientation.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have related industry experience, teaching experience, evidence of teaching skills, and experience working with diverse populations.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and attention to detail a plus.
The Instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in classroom and laboratory settings; developing and updating curriculum; and assisting with recruiting and advising students.
- Leadership in both academic and workforce areas to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of the Electrical Construction & Maintenance program and MTC.
