As a developer-focused Content Engineer, you'll create high-quality, engaging content that showcases the power of our unique product and translates complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling material. You'll work at the intersection of developer advocacy and technical writing, producing content that resonates with both individual developers and engineering leaders!
Key Responsibilities
Create in-depth technical content including blog posts, tutorials, and documentation that showcase our features like AST Grep rules, PR summaries, and 1-Click Suggestions
Develop and maintain sample applications and demo repositories that illustrate best practices and real-world applications of our brand
Write technical comparisons and benchmarks that demonstrate the advantages of our product
Create engaging social media content focused on developer education and community building
Produce video content including product demos, technical deep-dives, and feature walkthroughs
Collaborate with the engineering team to understand new features and translate them into compelling content
Develop technical presentations and workshop materials for developer events and conferences
Create and maintain a content calendar aligned with product releases and marketing initiatives
Monitor content performance metrics and adapt strategy based on community engagement
Qualifications
3 - 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience / Advocate Engineer, or related role
Strong software development experience, particularly in areas related to version control, code review, and developer workflows.
Proven track record of creating technical content for developer audiences
Experience with Git, GitHub, and modern development practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Familiarity with static analysis tools, linters, and code quality metrics
Experience with technical video production and screen casting
Understanding of developer marketing and community building
Strong portfolio of technical writing samples or blog posts
Experience with markdown, technical documentation, and content management systems
Technical Skills
Proficiency in at least one programming language
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
Understanding of code review best practices and tools
Experience with technical content creation tools
Basic video editing and production skills
Knowledge of documentation systems and static site generators
Nice to Have
Speaking experience at technical conferences
Experience with AI / ML concepts and tools
Experience with static analysis tools and AST manipulation
Open source contributions or maintenance experience
Background in developer tools or developer platforms
Experience with technical screen casting and video production
Community building or developer relations experience
