Warehouse Lead

SUMMARY:

As a Warehouse Lead, you will be a pivotal part of our operations, overseeing warehouse activities and managing a team to ensure efficient and effective processes. With core skills in warehouse management and team leadership, you will be responsible with assisting daily operations, coordinating shipments, and optimizing team productivity. Additionally, your relevant skills in safety and materials handling will contribute to a safe and organized warehouse environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Oversee the assignments and proper completion of work activities of employees in a given work group (i.e. inspection, general warehouse, material handling, etc.).

· Lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping skills in all areas.

· Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures.

· Responsible for the coordination of shift start-up activities as well as end of shift clean up or other activities.

· Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for completion of jobs.

· Provide on the job training for any new work instructions when applicable.

· Provide input to Supervisor or Manager regarding performance.

· Report any accidents or incidents that occur immediately to a supervisor.

· Report any policy or procedure violations to Supervisor or Manager.

· Participate, support and comply with all health and safety initiatives and requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· High School or Equivalent

· 3 years warehouse experience

· Extensive operations knowledge, including high volume transload, distribution pick and pack/e-commerce experience

· Knowledge of WMS Systems

· Computer experience

· Experience with various types of warehouse equipment, including trucks, stock pickers and forklifts

· Other tasks as assigned by management

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Detail oriented and ability to multi-task

· Effective problem-solving and mediation skills

· Ability to work with all levels of management and staff

· Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, noise levels can increase to high levels.

· Warehouse environment impacted by weather conditions: heat, humidity and cold.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and /or walk the dock, use computer and keyboard. The employee is regularly required to communicate or listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
