Mechanical Assembler (Industrial Machinery)

Job Description

Assembles machines, equipment, and their sub-assemblies using Lean and 5S methodologies and by following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.

In this position you will work on robust machinery support and modifications that help customers improve their production output. Work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production to ensure a successful product. Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities :

• Perform mechanical assembly of large-scale industrial automated equipment.
• Update, evaluate, and support automated industrial machinery products with focus on new solutions.
• Assemble sub-assemblies per drawing and / or work instructions with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to the development of product documentation.
• Participate in the creation of support documentation as it relates to machinery repairs and troubleshooting.
• Review / stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Provide design feedback and opportunities based upon assembly.
• Perform minor layout work, drilling, and tapping.
• Remove small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
• Align components, and bolts, screws, and rivets them together.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work area ready for work at the start of the shift.
