Day Shift: Monday - Friday / 6:00AM Start
Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday / 7:00PM Start
Pay Rate - $18.50
Responsibilities
Must work safely and actively promote safety, by following Personal Protective Equipment standards and following safetyprocedures and policies. Must ensure that others adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE. Understands and follows quality guidelines. These guidelines cover several areas of the shipping operation, including (but notlimited to) material handling, proper loading and securement procedures (as outlined on the quality audit), and follows properinventory management and handling. Understand daily and weekly departmental needs and requirements, and can effectively direct employees to yield high qualityand performance output. Must be able to understand and ensure labeling of all shipping related items – doors, screens, windows, custom items, MDFtrim material, specialty items, samples, etc. Must understand all color codes, inventory logging procedures and clean inventory management Must understand truck loading procedures and train new employees. Understands proper load methods related to stop order,individual customer requirements, as well as space requirements. Can visualize truck at load startup to effectively plan spacingwhile following quality loading standards Maintains and cleans work area using 5S standards. Provides on-the-job training to new employees. Displays willingness to take on other duties or non-normal tasks as assigned, such as winter time dock procedures
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill: Must possess high school level reading, writing and math skills. This job requires the ability to interact with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Interaction will be required with area workers, Sunrise external customers vendors, office personnel, our outsource carriers, and Sunrise drivers. Good interpersonal skills are needed to operate in and maintain a team environment. Must have sufficient reasoning ability, in order to problem solve with or without oral or written instructions.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The main functions of the job require moving product of all sizes and weights by hand or with some type of cart assistance. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand. Employees are required to walk; reach with hands and arms; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning ortwisting; pushing; and talk and hear. The employee must repetitively lift, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds. 75 pounds or more must be lifted with assistance.
