Carpet Cleaning Technician (Part-Time)

Position Overview

Mitigation Local is looking for a sharp, dependable, and customer-focused Carpet Cleaning Technician who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do solid, honest work. This is a part-time position to start, with the opportunity to be trained and promoted into Mitigation & Water Damage Restoration as skills develop.

We need someone who:

• Can do the work (manual labor, lifting, cleaning, on your feet all day)
• Can sell the service (upgrades, upsells, and packages)
• Can own the customer experience (smiling, listening, answering questions, being polite and clear)

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and rug care using professional equipment
• Load, prep, and clean machines daily (we'll show you the ropes)
• Handle customer appointments with professionalism and respect
• Communicate with customers about services, pricing, and upsell opportunities
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to deliver consistent results
• Drive to and from customer locations (valid license required)
• Collect payment or customer signatures when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and care of company vehicle and tools
• Take before-and-after photos (training provided)
• Help identify potential water damage or mold risks for future mitigation leads

Requirements

• Prior carpet cleaning or similar manual labor experience preferred but not required
• Must be great with people – clear communication, clean appearance, and positive attitude are non-negotiable
• Sales-minded – able to suggest additional services and upgrades when appropriate
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 50 lbs, work in hot/cold conditions, and move quickly
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Willingness to be trained in Water Mitigation & Restoration over time

Preferred

• Prior customer service, hospitality, or sales experience
• Basic understanding of home cleaning or restoration services
• Bi-lingual is a plus

Compensation

• Hourly bonuses/commission for upsells
• Paid bi-weekly
• Part-time schedule with flexible start depending on availability

Pay: $15.00 - $18.54 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed
