Department Summary: The Cyber and Investigative Operations Department is the trusted leader in creating and deploying cutting-edge technical solutions for our sponsors to impose risk and consequences in cyberspace – serving at the forefront of MITRE’s mission to make the world a safer place. Roles & Responsibilities: The Operations Coordinator position is at the foundation of our department leadership team. Working together with the Project Leaders, Department Manager, and Chief Engineer, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for tracking the delivery and execution of technical engineering support to our law enforcement sponsors. The Operations Coordinator proactively engages with Project Leaders to plan project delivery and ensure that our teams are executing on budget with the staff and resources required to provide maximum impact. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator is the department’s focal point for engagement with corporate business partners from finance, contracting, accounting, and invoicing. The Operations Coordinator works closely with Project Leaders and the N951 leadership team to promote best practices in project management across the work program, advance the skills of Project Leaders, and coordinate outreach and engagement with sponsors. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in resource planning, contracting, proposal development, invoicing, and familiarity with business operations. N951 supports a fast-paced, multi-agency mission focused on the intersection of law enforcement and national intelligence. This position offers the opportunity to dive into complex and rewarding work with high visibility by supporting our project teams that build and improve solutions at the forefront of domestic security. The Operations Coordinator is adaptable and agile, working side-by-side with MITRE staff, members of law enforcement, and members from the Intelligence Community.

Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent in education, or equivalent combination of high school courses and related work experience.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Desire to contribute to MITRE’s support to the law enforcement community
- Responsive to requests for immediate support, which can require visiting Government sites located in Northern Virginia and Downtown Washington, D.C.
- This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience using tools that assist with resource tracking and projections (i.e., Clarity PPM)
- Expertise using Excell
- Experience supporting business operations, including functions such as hiring, staffing, budgeting, and projecting financial estimates.
- Experience working with invoices / billing departments to ensure accuracy
- Familiarity with quality review processes and best practices to ensure our projects are delivering high quality work to Government sponsors
- Ability to coordinate across departments at MITRE, identifying the right offices and points of contact to get questions answered.
