What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC & Fabrication Supervisor (1950) position at Mitsubishi Chemical America?
The CNC & Fabrication Supervisor will engage with cross functional team to manage work plans, production log and backlog, job scheduling, suppliers and resource requirements. Will provide support to its direct and indirect reports and own all aspects of planning and production for the CNC Department using an ERP System to help guide the decision making on a day-to-day basis.

- Manage shop load to meet customer’s expectations.
- Communicate with Production Control Supervisor, Production Control, Sales, Quality and Department Supervisors to determine and direct priorities.
- Uses influence and authority to expedite jobs as needed in order to meet deadlines.
- Escalates issues to the Operations Manager as needed.
- Communicate with sales to determine priorities, and give order status updates as needed.
- Identify and fulfill employee training needs.
- Work with Production Control Coordinators and supervisor(s) to determine proper work centers for manufacturing and scheduling.
- Coordinate and expedite manufacturing orders through the facility.
- Communicate with all manufacturing departments to ensure timely and accurate order completion.
- Bachelor Degree in related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 years as a people manager.
- 7 years of production planning management.
- 7 years of ERP System experience.
- 5 years of resource planning and management.
- 5 years of customer communication experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create reports, presentations, and documentation effectively.
- Critical thinking and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter and capable of working autonomously.
- Independent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Action driven.
- Creativity and a drive for problem solving.
- Ability to drive action and communication across departments (sales, engineering and production).
- The salary range for this position is starting at $84,010. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
