ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
The Electrical Technician is responsible for all electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for the facility. The position is also responsible for assisting in small or large project work as requested.

The Electrical Technician is responsible for all electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for the facility. The position is also responsible for assisting in small or large project work as requested.
- Perform required preventative maintenance activities listed in the Asset Essentials program to maintain corporate assets and prevent unexpected breakdowns properly
- Perform required electrical/controls troubleshooting and repairs to equipment upon unexpected breakdown quickly and effectively
- To install parts and/or modify equipment/controls per instruction of maintenance supervisor or as requested in the Asset Essentials program
- To review, complete, and update entries in the Asset Essentials program
- Assist electrical engineer(s) in capital project work as requested
- Order and maintain supplies and spare parts for electrical components and equipment
- Keep the maintenance area and electrical cabinets clean and organized
- Must be able to maintain Forklift license as issued by Mitsubishi
- Provide assistance to Mechanical Technicians and other team members
- Perform other jobs in Asset Essentials that helps the team but may not be electrical in nature.
- Other duties as assigned by department manager
Qualifications

Education
- High school diploma required
- Two years of experience with electrical equipment/components and repair required
- Knowledge of troubleshooting PLC’s, AC drives, HMI’s, and electrical equipment required
- Business skills

- Must be goal oriented with a focus on safety, process improvement, and team building
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, air purifying respirator, and additional PPE as required
- Position requires use of an air purifying respirator which may affect some styles of facial hair
- Candidate must be able to pass a respirator clearance physical
- Correctable eyesight required
- Must be comfortable working around moving equipment
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, forward reaching, and twisting
- Occasional squatting, crouching, and above shoulder reaching
- Ability to stand for extended period
- Dexterity manipulation required for use of hand tools and light equipment
- Must be able to push/pull material using pallet jack
- Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs., occasional lifting up of 50 lbs.
- Moderate exposure to temperature change in non-climate-controlled environment with potential of working near heated processes
- The salary range for this position is $28.55 - $35.67. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
