What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finished Product Analyst (1891) position at Mitsubishi Chemical America?
Conducts procedures, as directed, and performs analyses per established laboratory methods to assess and document the physical and chemical properties of finished product samples from a 24/7 manufacturing operation accurately and efficiently. Regularly performs additional physical testing of finished and/or in-process products upon special request. Prepares and ensures the proper storage of retain samples from discreet product lots for possible future reference needs. Assists in the maintenance and control of all Finished Product Laboratory (FPL) instrumentation, equipment, supplies and data tracking systems. Provides support to maintain lab methods, training records, calibration reports, proficiency testing, and audits. Assist with basic housekeeping, inventory, and safety checks.
Accurate, efficient, and un-biased analysis of finished products in a timely manner is high priority. Accountability maintained through the management hierarchy. Control established through the timing & application of documented procedures/methods/protocols and oversight/supervision of activities.
Most tasks are routine with decisions typically directed by standard procedures, laboratory methods and laboratory protocols. Relies on experience and good judgment to make decisions regarding the timing and application of a wide range of established rules and procedures to meet customer demands (internal and external). Requests guidance from supervision when faced with decisions involving non-routine or difficult job situations.

- The salary range for this position is $34.82 - $34.82. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting
