What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor (2022) position at Mitsubishi Chemical America?
To ensure facility equipment and infrastructure are in good and reliable condition so that products can be produced on time, safely and efficiently to customers’ requirements. To ensure maintenance and repair work is planned, completed in such a manner as to minimize downtime and maximize utilization of multi-craft technicians. Additionally, this position will work to lower the cost to manufacture by identifying key opportunities to reduce breakdown, maintenance repairs and improve efficiency in coordination with the Process Engineers & Technicians. This position is also part of the facility management team and contributes to the formation of policy decisions, site safety leadership, OSHA training and plant emergency organization.
Direct supervision of Maintenance team and one SNE Production/inventory and Factory Stores Coordinator – lead and develop them in order to achieve a high level of performance and results through team work. Promote injury-free culture through safety programs, awareness and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with safety rules and policies and coach safe behavior. Responsible for all aspects of departmental safety, health and related items, PBSA’s Safety training/talks improvement of equipment/production methods. Ensure that 5S housekeeping standards are met and sustained. Monitor daily operations and provide training in the area of safety. Review, revise and approve SOP’s and JSA’s within Maintenance Department. Coordinate with Construction Engineer to facilitate the Safe and successful completion of various construction and equipment repair projects as required. Plans/Schedules preventive maintenance work including the preventive maintenance program utilizing M3 & MPulse. Tracks daily work requirements, coordinate work orders and tracks work completion and maintenance technician utilization. Develops maintenance performance tracking measures/targets that support overall site Safety and production goals and the long-term site vision. Plans, coordinate, and initiate quotes from contractors for repairs. Initiate purchase orders, follow up on work. Previous Supervisory and/or Lead experience Maintenance Planning Experience Technically proficient in any of the following with a working knowledge of each:

- The salary range for this position is $75,600 - $94,500. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
