Job Overview
Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Design Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and supporting value-added solutions from customer-supplied specifications. You will work closely with engineering management to develop complete control package designs that meet the needs and requirements of customers and Mitsubishi Electric Automation's manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Create quotations based on customer specifications
* Work with design engineering teams to bring products to production
* Review and verify customer specifications, including schematic drawings and electrical component lists
* Design and modify electrical schematics and layout drawings to communicate change recommendations to customers
* Redesign and modify customer specifications to reduce material and labor costs
* Manage multiple projects and communicate with other departments to ensure timely documentation release
* Design cables and specify components based on power calculations
* Review, verify, and update customer-supplied sheet metal drawings
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
* 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering design
* Ability to read schematic drawings and translate them into point wiring diagrams
* Knowledge of UL/NFPA standards for sizing and verifying electrical components and cables
* Proficiency in AutoCAD software
* Experience with sheet metal design
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer relationships
* Teamwork-oriented and attention to detail
