Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Project Manager is responsible for providing to MEAU Management the Key Account(s) project requirements. The Project Manager is assigned to high profile account(s), in order to facilitate communication between all appropriate MEAU departments and locations, authorized Distributors, partners, and System Integrators when coordinating support activities at assigned key accounts(s).
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a working understanding of all products and services offered by MEAU in order to impact Technical Sales, Service, and Marketing. A thorough understanding of software as well as all proprietary, open networks, and control technologies is required.
- Understand all aspects of the assigned project from a commercial and technical standpoint.
- Work with and manage all third-party contractors associated with assigned projects.
- Act as a Team Leader in order to keep Sales personnel, Field Application and Project Engineers on track and focused supporting specific projects requirements.
- Understand all technology aspects required at Key Account(s) within specified disciplines for typical Automation (i.e. material handling, machine tool, assembly, paint, stamping, IT, etc.).
- Coordinate additional project opportunities with Automotive Program Manager as well as departments for thorough project coordination : Services & Solutions Group (SSG), Sales & Marketing Group (SMG), and Operations Excellence Group (OXG). Provide these departments updates on all significant projects - identifying ($) potential, Key Account and associated suppliers' groups, timelines, manpower requirements, etc.
- Coordinate all resources for fulfillment of support and services : issue resolution during all project phases (i.e. specification and design, machine controls engineering, programming, networking, IT, machine installation, startup, debug, and launch phases etc.) to ensure on-time delivery of hardware and software components.
- Help manage all warranty, spare parts, software maintenance programs and issues.
- Help Sales and FESG (Field Engineering Support Group) coordinate OEM's bill of material, delivery, and training requirements.
- Assist Mitsubishi training department(s) develop both short-term and long-term training strategies and programs for corporate and plant personnel requirements.
- Direct investigation and documentation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and if warranted, implement corrective action. Coordinate the appropriate resources to resolve problems.
- Help track warranty items when needed for failure reporting, analysis and corrective action program which includes describing the problem in detail, implement and help verify interim containment actions, define and verify root cause, verify effectiveness of permanent corrective action, implement permanent corrective action, and prevent reoccurrence on similar processes / products.
- Coordinate hardware and software integration testing, including 1) all 3'd party controls products and 2) interfaces (drivers) to Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Provide weekly status reports including timelines and reports showing planned and actual progress, when needed.
- Coordinate the review of equipment suppliers' prints with FESG and Sales to ensure proper component selection and application.
- Create Request for Quote and Quotations documents for vendors and customers as required. Help and direct the creation process with Sales, FESG and possibly 3rd party vendors to create functional specifications for the project including hardware and software requirements, interfacing details, third party equipment involvement, data flow and organization. Work with Key Account(s) engineers to assess risk factors in the specifications.
- Facilitate purchase requisitions and invoices to supervisor for processing.
- Attend simultaneous engineering and progress meetings, leading run-off and subsequent run-offs at the equipment supplier sites, and interact and assist in any technical issues that arise both at the equipment supplier site and the key account sites.

The listed salary range is approximate and reflects the anticipated compensation for this position as determined by salary analysis; both internal and external to MEAU. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience. Compensation may also vary due to market factors. MEAU retains the right to adjust compensation based on business needs.
Expected Salary : $101,200 - $125,000
