MEPPI’s Material Center is looking for a dynamic 3rd shift Material Center Supervisor to lead the movement, handling, kitting, expediting, assembly, leak testing, and control of inventory for divisions supported by the Material Center. What You’ll Do
- Lead Daily Operations: Develop weekly work schedules and assign daily work tasks for Material Center staff, ensuring seamless operations that meet production facility needs.
- Supervise Team Activities: Oversee the scheduling, receiving, kitting, movement, and handling of production materials and sub-assembly jobs, adhering to current SOPs and quality standards.
- Monitor Documentation: Ensure all job-related paperwork is reviewed, completed accurately, and compliant with company policies.
- Develop and Train Employees: Provide ongoing training, cross-training, and education opportunities to empower your team and enhance their skill sets.
- Evaluate Performance: Conduct regular performance reviews focusing on attendance, quality, productivity, teamwork, and cooperation.
- Drive Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity, safety, and quality excellence.
- Ensure Safety: Promote a safety-first culture by conducting accident investigations, enforcing safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain Records: Ensure accurate documentation of material transactions in both paper and ERP systems, enforcing compliance with company procedures.
- Support Team Communication: Host daily team meetings to review assignments, discuss safety, and share procedural updates.
- Education: Associate degree in Material Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a material center or logistics environment.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and developed proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably Syteline).
