What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Engineering Manager FACTS HVDC position at Mitsubishi Electric?
We are looking for a System Engineering Manager FACTS HVDC to lead and oversee design studies for FACTS and HVDC systems, develop advanced equipment design and rating calculations, and provide technical consultation.
The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of power electronics, electrical transmission systems and substation equipment, as well as experience with substation theory, protection and control, including fundamental concepts of feedback control.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading design studies for FACTS and HVDC systems
- Developing equipment specifications for power electronic converters, cooling systems, large power transformers, and other main circuit equipment
- Providing technical consultation on FACTS and HVDC protection and control systems
- Leading local design and commissioning efforts
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Electronics Engineering with a minimum 10 years of experience in FACTS or HVDC system engineering, or equivalent education and experience, is required for this role.
