This position will take place in our Itasca, IL office in a hybrid capacity.
Position Overview:
The Director, Broker will assume responsibility for numerous existing broker relationships at Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc. (MHCA) and facilitate the high velocity internal transaction process. This is a player/coach role which includes managing a team that reviews new deal opportunities, ensures the credit team responds to them in a timely manner, restructures transactions, and manages deal approvals and fundings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of people to ensure you and they originate quality transactions that deliver the right risk adjusted returns in accordance with MHCA's policies and procedures from numerous existing broker relationships.
- Manage a team of people to ensure you and they execute and fund transactions in a timely manner.
- Develop/onboard new broker relationships in diversified equipment types.
- Understand MHCA value proposition and manage accounts consistent with the value proposition.
KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators):
- Team Volume Target of $10.8MM/month in FY2024 (FY2025 targets to be determined by management).
- Net interest income.
- New broker relationships.
- Diversification of equipment types.
Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:
Acts independently; Decision-making within Company policy.
Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leader of Broker/Capital Markets Department.
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage the high velocity transactional environment, including deal reviews, credit responses, transaction restructurings, and the timely documentation and execution of transactions.
- Ability to maintain and expand positive relationships with existing brokers.
- Ability to originate and onboard new broker relationships working with internal stakeholders.
- Experienced in credit aspects of equipment finance.
- Experienced in legal and operational aspects of broker finance.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of equipment finance (preferably in transportation) or equivalent experience.

- Personal computer, copier, phone, and other typical office equipment.
Working Hours:
- Hours may vary and will require some evening and weekend work; frequently requires working 40 hours/week depending on business needs.
Travel:
- No travel unless related to origination activity.
Physical Demands:
- Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment.
- Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
- Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
- Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

The position is (exempt/non-exempt) and the salary will be between $90,000.00 and $107,000.00 with an opportunity to earn commission.
The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
