About the role:
Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy for Energy Solutions & Connected Solutions/Energy/Charging that aligns with the company's overall objectives and market demands. Define and maintain the product road map, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resources required for successful product launches. Conduct customer VOC, market research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscapes, informing product decisions. Ensure achievement of corporate objectives as relates to new product launch within the mid-term business plan. Position must consider company, customer, competition for the assigned product lines in all MLA markets. Responsible for program targets for scope, schedule, budget, manufacturability, and marketability. Represent the needs of all stakeholders(dealers, customers, and development partners)
What you will do:
- Gather and interpret the voice of customer and competitive intelligence relating to the assigned product line and key competitors. Remain current on customer acceptance of current products and key trends in material handling needs. Utilize regular contact through Regional Sales Managers, National Accounts Managers, dealers, and customer visits. Define and maintain the product roadmap, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resources required for successful product launches.
- Manage NPP Projects for energy solutions and connected products, including 1) project leadership, 2) management of (and to) statement of work, business plan, functional specification, and work breakdown structure, 3) regular updates and interface with Executive management, and 4) achievement of project milestones and profit goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information on product specifications, features, options and understand how to set up and configure products to deliver against customer intent and needs. Coordinate and oversee product launches, collaborating with marketing and sales teams to create effective go-to-market strategies.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, regularly analyze metrics, and iterate strategies based on insights. Requires monitoring of management reports reflecting status of product cost, sales performance, warranty costs, variance reports, and market share. Present periodic summary reports on product line health to executive management.
- Collaborate with marketing analytics and accounting to build appropriate targets for the assigned product into the yearly business plan. Set realistic goals for market pricing, price actions, sales variance, and market share, based on achievement of consolidated corporate goals for revenue and profit.
- Collaborate with truck product management group for option availability with marketing analytics support via the PAN.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Energy solutions and Connected Technologies product portfolio and configurations while becoming the resident product expert. Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving the product set up, training and configuration process.
- Actively engage sales groups on business plan targets and achievement. Work with the sales/product marketing in a "train the trainer" model. Ensuring they are well-versed in the product configuration process and capable of understanding necessary configuration, set-up, and support to deliver against customer requirements.

What you need to have:
- Bachelors Degree or experience in lieu of education
- 10 years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of forklift construction and manufacture. Product functions, user applications, sales process, and dealer business structure
- Knowledge of EV Charging, Battery Storage or V2X in industrial or automotive industries.
- Experience of launching and managing Charging or Connected Technology and Solutions in the automotive industry.
- Must possess an understanding of financial analysis and an understanding of internal product health metrics (sales/marketing, warranty, etc.)

- Strong project management skills (including time management, presentation and budgeting skills)
- Ability to work independently and achieve deadlines. Strong technical and marketing aptitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
What would be nice to have:
- PMP certification is encouraged
- Microsoft Project and Access skills encouraged
- German or Japanese language skills a plus (Japanese culture class or equivalent preferred)

The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $180,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
