About the role:
SAP BASIS and Cloud Architect, provides SAP enterprise architecture strategy, technical leadership, oversees system implementation and integrations, environment performance optimization, and ensures governance and compliance. Trusted advisor to Senior Leadership on all technical aspects of SAP S/4 HANA in a RISE environment. Oversees SAP consultants to ensure SAP S/4 HANA RISE environment is optimized using best practices.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain SAP architecture roadmap, ensuring it aligns to business objectives, IT strategy, and industry best practices. Collaborate with MLA leadership to identify and prioritize key transformation initiatives leveraging SAP capabilities. Function as trusted advisor on SAP Technical best practices and emerging technologies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to raise SAP skills within the IT team. Review and approve technical designs to ensure SAP best practices are enforced. Ensure installation, configuration, and deployment of SAP system is aligned with clean core SAP best practices
- Oversee SAP consultants to ensure SAP S/4 HANA environment is optimized using best practices
- Monitor SAP system performance and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Optimize SAP environments by implementing performance tuning and capacity planning
When & Where:
- Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office)
- Additional off-hour or weekend support for IT operators or project implementations
- 15-20% travel to other MLA sites to support project implementations, business meetings, and initiatives
Qualifications
What you need to have:
- 10 years’ experience in developing and owning end-to-end enterprise-wide SAP architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, IT strategy, and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar related field
- Ability to translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate meta data, test data, and data quality standards
- Ability to engage with executive leadership to identify and prioritize key transformation initiatives leveraging SAP capabilities
- Knowledge with SAP functional, development, and business teams to ensure alignment between technical infrastructure and business needs
- Proven technical guidance and mentorship to the business and IT development teams
- Ability to review and approve technical designs, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices and organizational standards
- Experience in overseeing the installation, configuration, deployment, and operations of SAP systems (S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, SCC, etc.).
- Experience with integrating SAP solutions with third-party applications on ensuring seamless data exchange and workflows
What would be nice to have:
- Deep knowledge of SAP systems including S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori, and HANA databases
- Expertise in SAP integration (PI/PO, CPI), data management, and analytics solutions (BW/4HANA, SAC)
- Proficiency in cloud-based SAP environments and multi-cloud strategies (i.e. Azure, GCP, SAP RISE)
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (i.e. TOGAF, Zachman), S/4 HANA architecture, database mgmt, and backup/recovery.
- Ability to be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on SAP Technical best practices and emerging technologies
- Experience migrating legacy systems to SAP, including data migration strategies

The pay for this position ranges from $130,000 to $180,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
