We are currently looking for a Materials Logistics Specialist for our Calvert, AL location. This position is a very broad-scoped role including tasks related to Sales Administration, Purchasing, and Job Management.
SALES
Prepare and provide spare part and job-related quotations to customers.
Receive customer POs and prepare necessary Sales Order documentation.
Frequent customer interfacing and promotion of Primetals services and capabilities.
PURCHASING
Purchase of all materials necessary at the Calvert site including purchase of job-related materials, parts, and services, and purchase of all factory supplies, tooling, consumables, and materials necessary for business operations.
Supply chain development and management for all goods and service commodities.
Management of goods receipt, inventory control, goods issue to jobs, cost allocation, etc.
JOB MANAGEMENT
Job will entail management of specific customer spare parts programs such as with Outokumpu and SSAB. This is revenue volume of $1.5 to 2M annually.
Provide necessary control and tracking of internal work in the shop.
Validate employee timekeeping accuracy and reporting to payroll.
Ensure job completions and closure in SAP and provide shipping documentation.
Manage and coordinate all trucking and deliveries and receipts of goods.
This position reports to the site General Manager but will additionally require close communications and coordination with all levels of the organization including the site Financial Controller, Plant Superintendent, shop floor Supervisors, and hourly personnel.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
High school degree
Relevant job experience
SAP experience required, including purchasing modules
Ideal candidate has experience specifically in steel mill maintenance operations
Ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience in mill equipment repair
Salary : $49,000 - $81,000
