Summary
The Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineering team reports under the Fleet Reliability and Monitoring organization, within Mitsubishi’s Power Generation Services division. Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineers are responsible for the sustainment of the Mitsubishi Power gas turbine fleet including various power plant assets such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators and Balance of Plant equipment. Day-to-day expectations for this role include utilizing fleet data to identify and prioritize detractors of fleet reliability and collaborate across business units to develop mitigations for these issues. RAM Engineer II is an intermediate engineering position that requires knowledge of engineering principles and experience in the application of principles. In this role, the engineer will demonstrate the capability to perform normal work assignments without requiring detailed instruction and will be given some degree of technical authority in these work assignments. The engineer will also be given technical assignments of increasing technical difficulty working under the supervision of more senior engineers or management.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate across the PGS organization to create tools to track fleet reliability with the intent to identify systematic RAM detractors;
- Utilize fleet data and developed tracking tools to identify and prioritize fleetwide issues to be actioned by PGS engineering teams;
- Collaborate across the PGS organization to drive improvement solutions for detractors of fleet reliability;
- Business processes to be utilized for mitigation of identified items shall include but not be limited to New Product Development (NPD), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Fleet Risk;
- Participate in development and execution of fleet risk process;
- Work alongside TOMONI HUB team to audit weekly fleet data such as operations journal trip and runback entries;
- Compile report of weekly fleet trips and present to global team at weekly availability meeting;
- Build on foundational knowledge of gas turbine and associated auxiliary system configuration, operations, control system logic, data analysis software and data acquisition systems to support identification and mitigation of issues;
- When applicable support training and participate in field outages and combustion tuning to obtain hands on experience and to develop and enhance the skills of less experienced engineers on power plant and associated auxiliary system configuration and operations;
- Support and advise the service organization by coordinating and participating in periodic meetings pertaining to outage planning, fleet risk, RAM statistics and other ongoing projects;
- Support and where possible, enhance the documentation and configuration control methods in use by Service Engineering;
- Make suggestions for product and service improvements that will increase customer satisfaction with Mitsubishi Power products and services;
- Perform other such duties as may be required;
- Support the training and certification of RAM Engineer I with technical support and guidance;
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties;
- Communicate effectively with peers and management at all levels, utilizing verbal skills as well as written documents including plans, reports and presentations;
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures, reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources;
- Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts;
- Availability for work after normal working hours, weekends, and holidays as required;
- Some overnight travel (expected 5 to 10%) by land, air or sea;

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor of Science inMechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university; and course work in the major field being associated with turbo-machinery or digital control systems. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an engineering design or service related experience is required, or a minimum of 12 years directly related engineering work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement (some work credit may be given for MS or PhD degrees based on the relevancy of course and related project experience).
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as drawings, logic diagrams, technical procedures, operating and maintenance manuals and industry reports. Ability to write technical reports and correspondence including customer reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform necessary calculations to satisfy job requirements.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to make judgment decisions based on specifications or technical requirements.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Visual Basic, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI), OSIsoft PI Software, ECG Predict-It, PTC Windchill, etc.
