Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your excellent communication skills and customer service orientation will be key in managing guest relations and seating arrangements efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the flow of guests.
- Provide accurate wait times and assist guests in their seating preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize the Aloha POS system for managing reservations and orders as needed.
- Assist in training new staff members on guest relations protocols and POS operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help both guests and team members are essential.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous but not required.
